Hants & Surrey Branch – January Auction3rd December 2014 by Sam Whiting
Again Vernon has managed to assemble an interesting looking list for Jan. From ‘the collection’ this time come Lots 16 – 52, including a very nice condition set of Wills’ ‘Life of King Edward VIII’, a scarce Unissued set; a complete set of Spratts ‘British Bird Series’, numbered, with all 7 backs represented; and 60 Donaldson ‘Speedway Riders’. Also, at Lot 121, is a complete set of A. & B.C. ‘Footballers’, all 290 (No.58 is from the Scottish issue). There are a total of 149 sets up for auction and over 200 type cards!
In the single cards, there are two cards from the rarely seen Kuit set of ‘Principal Streets of British Cities’, both in very nice condition, and two cards from the set of Kinnear ‘Australian Cricket Team’, one in VG condition.
