CSGB November/December Card Auction – Now Accepting Bids16th Nov 2015 by Sam Whiting
Chris has assembled the lots ready for the last auction of 2015 (how time flies!) and the November/December Card Auction is now accepting bids! It’s a good mix of types and sets with some unrecorded cards and a few silks including a few sets of Kensitas Silk Flowers.
To summarise some of the cards available by theme then; for military collectors there are several Gloag ‘Home & Colonial Regiments’ in VG condition, 2 Wills Scissors ‘Drum Horses’ in VG condition as well as a nice Typhoo ‘Our Empire’s Defenders’ card. For lovers of Actresses/Beauties- a very rare Shepherd Beauties ‘FECKSA’ and a nice Morris ‘Actresses’ ‘FROGA’ should prove tempting! Whilst we don’t have golf represented in the auction this time we have several Football, Cricket and Rugby cards from Wills, Wilkinson, Boys Magazine, Adidas and others. There are also 8 Cohen Weenan ‘Famous Boxers’ which always prove very popular.
Some cards that don’t really sit with a particular theme but that are also worth noting are several types from Faulkner’s ‘Street Cries’ and ‘Nautical Terms’ with the majority being in VG condition. There are also some excellent Victorian trade cards from the USA available from lot 139 onwards.
We would strongly recommend you have a look. The rates for our auctions are very competitive with members not having to pay ANY commission fees!

In this Auction, 'the collection' again features items at Lots 6 - 71, including 4 with high catalogue values. One set, scarce as set, is catalogued at £1900, but is not that popular. What reserve can I give, when the cards are in VG condition.
